Antoine Semenyo Manchester City move hailed by Guardiola. Antoine Semenyo has described his move to Manchester City as a proud and defining moment in his career after completing his transfer from Bournemouth. The forward leaves the Cherries following a strong Premier League season in which he scored 10 goals and contributed three assists.
Speaking after joining Pep Guardiola’s side, Semenyo highlighted City’s sustained dominance over the past decade and the standards set by the club both domestically and in Europe.
“I’m incredibly proud to have joined Manchester City,” Semenyo said. “Over the last 10 years under Pep Guardiola, this team has been dominant in the Premier League and has achieved incredible success in the Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup.”
He added that City’s elite environment makes it the perfect place for him to continue developing as a player.
“This club sets the highest standards. It has world-class players, world-class facilities and one of the greatest managers ever. I still have so much room to improve, and being here at this stage of my career feels perfect. It’s a real privilege. The Etihad is my new home and I can’t wait to play in front of the fans and show what I can do.”
