Audi has launched its Formula 1 team with a bold declaration: to become the most successful team in the sport’s history. The German manufacturer formally entered F1 by taking over the Sauber team.
Team Principal Jonathan Wheatley called the Berlin launch a “historic moment.” He emphasized ambitious but humble beginnings, stating, “We know where we’re starting from and we know where we want to go.”

Senior executives reinforced the high-stakes goal. CEO Gernot Dollner asserted Audi enters any racing series to win and innovate, targeting championship contention by 2030. Project lead Mattia Binotto acknowledged the challenges ahead but affirmed the team’s readiness.
