Manchester United have officially signed Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig for a reported £74 million ($100m), securing the 22-year-old Slovenian striker on a contract running until 2030. The move is part of head coach Ruben Amorim’s overhaul of United’s attack, which also includes summer arrivals Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo.

Sesko, who netted 21 goals last season, expressed excitement about the club’s vision:
“The history of Manchester United is very special, but what excites me most is the future. Everything is in place for this team to grow and compete for the biggest trophies. The positive energy here is incredible, and it’s the perfect place to fulfil my ambitions. I can’t wait to learn from Ruben and work with my new teammates to achieve success.”

United are hoping Sesko can provide the goals they lacked last season, with previous options Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee struggling to deliver consistently. While his arrival raises expectations, it also comes with pressure — the club cannot afford another high-profile signing to underperform.

Sesko will be unveiled at Old Trafford on Saturday ahead of United’s final pre-season friendly against Fiorentina. His competitive debut could come on August 17, when United face Arsenal in their Premier League opener.
