After the match, Torres spoke to DAZN. “The game went crazy,” he said. “The first half hour was spectacular.” Nevertheless, he admitted, “We didn’t know how to maintain it.” He added, “We weren’t able to regain control where we wanted it.”
He acknowledged the team’s busy schedule. “We’re having a lot of games,” he said. “That’s no excuse.” Instead, he stressed the need to focus on the weekend’s La Liga match.
Most importantly, Torres warned against panic. “There will be defeats by the end of the season,” he said. “But we shouldn’t overreact.” Therefore, he called for reflection: “Now it’s time to look at what we did wrong and correct the mistakes.”
Torres has stepped up in Robert Lewandowski’s absence. So far this season, he has scored five goals and added one assist in all competitions. Moreover, playing as a false nine, he has helped Barcelona stay unbeaten in La Liga. As a result, they sit top of the table after seven matches.
While the Barcelona PSG defeat ends their perfect run, Torres remains confident. “I’m sure that as time goes on, we’ll maintain our intensity,” he said.
Barcelona must now regroup quickly. Although the loss stings, their league form remains strong. With leaders like Torres, there’s no need for alarm—only smart, timely adjustments.
